Olton Golf Club

A Place To Enjoy your

Ladies Section

Welcome from the Lady Captain

As Lady Captain, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Olton Golf Club, where you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome from the lady members, the professional team, and staff.

Inaugurated into the club in 1895, the Ladies section is very active with players holding a wide range of handicaps. Our main competitions are held on Wednesdays, with alternative arrangements for ladies to play on Sundays.

In addition to a very active diary of club competitions, the ladies compete in a range of County, Scratch, League and Warwickshire Vets matches, as well as friendly matches (home and away) which provide great opportunities to play other courses in our area.

Our Ladies section host several popular Opens annually, which include a 3-ball Alliance, a Ladies Pairs Open and our Spring Invitation, which are great opportunities to invite friends to come and experience golf at OGC, while the now well renowned Ladies Charity AM-AM is one of the highlights of our golfing calendar. Many of the ladies also participate in a range of mixed golf events at the club throughout the year.

The ladies enjoy a great relationship with the strong professional team at OGC, where the Assistant Professional, Rob Killarney, runs a group lesson for players of all handicaps every Friday morning, providing a great opportunity to improve all aspects of your golf, as well as having a social coffee and chat with other members.

Apart from enjoying a great golf course, our Ladies enjoy some great social events through the year, ranging from Charity Fund raising including a Bridge Drive, Themed nights, Friday fish suppers and Sunday lunches to New Year celebrations and Summer Balls.

I look forward to welcoming you to Olton which I am sure you will enjoy.
