In anticipation of the forecast heatwave Captain Terry cannot decide between a long or short sleeve jumper, but in the event needs to wear both as the temperature is closer to 12 degrees than 21. OGC is in good nick and although the greens have been sanded, they are quick and true and a brisk wind is helping to dry things out. The match is a close run thing and is halved 3 1/2 to 3 1/2. Good wins for Terry and Colin MacMillan, Mike Whitfield and Tony Beer and Paul Higgins and John Martin. Also a great half for Steve Fowler and Richard Blasdale who had to win the last two holes in order to do so.
Good golf followed by a good lunch of roast pork and a solid "stick to your ribs" bread and butter pudding which I could have done with last week.
