Welcome to our new Lady Captain.

A warm welcome to our new Lady Captain who came into post on the 15th November 2018 at the ladies Annual meeting.

Smiles all round as retiring Lady Captain Ray hands over the badge of office to Mrs Christina Kennedy.

Our congratulations and best wishes to Christina as she takes on her new role.

Presentation of cheque to Guide Dogs for the Blind

On the 15th November, retiring Lady Captain Ray with past Captain Nic and past Lady President Lynda Cooper presented Guide Dogs for the Blind with a cheque for to Fourteen thousand, one hundred and seventeen pounds.  They were together with Heaton, one of the puppies we have named. Heaton is now 10 months old, and we are now waiting patiently to meet our second puppy Caddie.  Ray would like to thank everyone who has supported Guide Dogs the Ladies Charity in 2017/18 and will keep you updated when further "pupdates" arrive.

Thank you from Lady Captain

To all Members, your families and your friends who have  helped and supported me through my two years as Lady Captain - please may I say a huge thank you.

My Charity was Guide Dogs and my aim was to raise £5,000 to name a guide dog puppy.  With help in year one from past Captain Nic and past Lady President Lynda, we managed to name Heaton our first puppy.  I am thrilled to say that we at Olton now have puppy number two and he will be called Caddie (no photographs as yet).  Your generousity and support has helped us raise £14,072 in total.

Thank you so much everyone.

Ray Davies

Lady Captain (signing off on the 15th November 2018)

Loving Cup 10 November 2018

The first Loving Cup of the season took place on Saturday 10th November.

After an evening of celebrating our 125th Anniversary Captain Moray and Lady Captain Ray took charge of the event and Captained the six teams who took up the challenge.  Although we started off in sunshine, some rain tried to dampen our spirits but did not suceed and, at the end of the competition both Captains were still smiling as the match finished as a draw. Liquid refreshment was then shared from the Cup by all who took part.

A huge thank you to all who played.
