The Mens' Scratch League Team stay clear at top of Division 1. The return fixture against South Staffs was played yesterday at Olton where South Staffs were looking for revenge for last week's defeat but Olton crushed them winning 8-0. This means that Olton remain on +5 points with one game left against Harborne at Olton on Wednesday 2nd August. The other five teams have played less matches than Olton so it is mathematically possible that Enville could reach +6 points (but would have to win all of their remaining 5 matches) & Harborne +5 points (but would have to win all of their remaining 6 matches). Whilst with only positive points scored in away matches Olton remain clear favourites celebrations may not be possible on 2nd August. All Olton can do now is win their final match to remain at +5 points, watch for other teams' results & hopefully win the title for the first time since 1991.
