As the away fixture at Robin Hood resulted in a 5 - 1 loss Captain Brian decided to select his very best men for the return home fixture. However, as he reported, very few of them were available - so he settled for what he could get. Hot, sweaty and very dry - but enough about Brian - it was a beautiful morning for golf with the course in immaculate condition. As losses go this was a close one with just a 3 - 4 scoreline to report. All the wins came at the back end and due credit goes to Dave Mosley and Gary Miller, Stan Birch and Steve Fowler and Brian Cheshire and yours truly. Brian Cheshire closed out our match with a birdie on the 3rd (our 16th). A tee shot to the back of the 6th tee, a second onto the road and then a chip-in from 40 yards out was enough to convince the opposition it just wasn't going to be their day.
