On a lovely Autumn day, some 35 competitors, split into threes (and a four), left the clubhouse in a shotgun start, and we all had a great time on a great course. Despite the fact that there were a couple of absentees, a couple of late-comers, queries over the monies etc, John Molesworth and Brian Walker excelled themselves, yet again, and managed to sort the problems out.
The winners were a genuine team, as picked by John and Brian, and with a score of 64.5, - Ian Major, Graham Siddle, and Richard Lea were a couple of points ahead of their rivals.
In second place, Tony Turner, Terry Hanley & John Arnold had a score of .66.2. (also a legitimate team).
In third place, with 66.4 came Arthur Huke, Mike Symonds & Harry Orme (a not very legitimate team - said the Captain, amidst laughter all round).
Brian Warren, as Captain, gave out the financial rewards, and Ian Major congratulated John and Brian, and also the Course Manager, Mark Smith, for the way the course was beautifully laid out.
