LOCAL RULES
1. OUT OF BOUNDS (RULE 27-1)
a) Beyond any fence, hedge or line of white stakes defining the course boundary.
b) In or beyond any ditch, brook, white line defining the boundary at the 3rd, 11th; 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th & 17th holes.

3. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 24-2) include
a) sprinkler heads, manhole covers, plastic irrigation covers, tee stones, 150 yard marker post bases and any flagpole or markers, winter tees, wooden steps, ball washers, waste bins together with the Halfway House and the Starters Hut.
b) all artificially surfaced tracks and pathways including those covered in wood chips and gravel. All other paths and tracks together with the chipped bark surfaces beneath trees are integral parts of the course with relief confined to Rule 23-1, Loose Impediments.
In addition, if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and an immovable obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club lengths of the ball intervenes of the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player must take relief as follows: The ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay that (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green. The ball may be cleaned when lifted. Relief under this Local Rule is also available if the player’s ball lies on the putting green and an immovable obstruction within two club lengths of the putting green intervenes on his line of putt. The players may take relief as follows: The ball must be lifted and placed at the nearest point to where the ball lay that (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a hazard. The ball may be cleaned when lifted.
4. MOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 24-1)
include STONES IN BUNKERS, guide ropes, bunker rakes, bench seats, seed boxes, 150-yard marker posts.
5. TREES
which are staked, banded or wrapped. If such a tree interferes with the player’s stance or the area of intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted without penalty and dropped in accordance with Rule 24-2b.
6. ABNORMAL GROUND CONDITIONS (RULE 25-1)
a) TRACTOR RUTS: A ball lying in such a condition through the green may lifted and dropped in line with Rule 25-1b.
b) HEATHER BEDS together with the plantation that adjoins The Halfway House: If a ball lies/touches such an area or if there is interference with a player’s stance or the area of intended swing, relief MUST be taken in line with Rule 25-1b
7. SUSPENSION OF PLAY.
One long blast - players MUST mark their ball position and take shelter or cease playing at the end of the hole. Two blasts - players MUST mark their ball and return to the club house without delay.
8. DISTANCE AND MEASURING DEVICES:
Devices capable of measuring distance ONLY are permitted. Rule 14-3 applies. Breach of Rule: Disqualification. See Notice Board for details.

Match Play - Loss of Hole; Stroke Play – Two Strokes
MARKER POSTS AND DISCS: Measured in yards to the centre of each green.
