A) OUT OF BOUNDS (Rule 27-1)
Beyond any white posts, white lines, hedge or fence bounding the course.
In or beyond any ditch or brook at the 3rd, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th holes.
B) WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26)
The brook crossing the course, including the bridges, is deemed to be a water hazard.
C) IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (Rule 24-2)
1) FIXED SPRINKLER HEADS
All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24-2. In addition, if such an obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green of the hole being played intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may obtain relief, without penalty, as follows:
If the ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and is within two club-lengths of the intervening obstruction, it may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay which a) is not nearer the hole, b) avoids such intervention and c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.
2) All man-made roads and pathways, manhole covers, plastic irrigation covers, tee stones, 150 yard marker discs, post bases and any flagpole or marker post are deemed to be immovable obstructions. Rule 24-2 applies. (This does not apply to 150 yard marker POSTS which are deemed to be Movable Obstructions. Rule 24-1 applies).
D) YOUNG TREES
Protection of young trees identified by a stake or band. If such a tree interferes with the player's stance or the area of intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped, not nearer the hole within one club-length of the point which avoids damage to the tree. The ball may be cleaned when so lifted. (Rule 24-2bi).
E) STONES AND RAKES IN BUNKERS
Stones and rakes in bunkers are movable obstructions. Rule 24-1a applies.
F) TRACTOR TYRE MARKS
Tractor tyre marks may be treated as ground under repair.
G) HEATHER BEDS
If a player's ball lies in the heather beds or if there is interference with a player's stance or the area of intended swing, the player must take relief under Rule 25-1.
H) SUSPENSION OF PLAY
Play will be suspended by one long blast of a hooter. Mark your ball and return to the Clubhouse.
PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE
Match Play - Loss of Hole, Stroke Play - Two Strokes
DISTANCE-MEASURING DEVICES (RULE 14-3 )
Devices capable of measuring DISTANCE ONLY are permitted. Breach of Rule - Disqualification. Rule 14 - 3 applies.
MARKER POSTS AND DISCS ARE MEASURED IN YARDS TO THE CENTRE OF EACH GREEN.
