Grandfathers Competition

31 Competitors set out to become the 2016 Grandfather of the Year! It was a lovely day for golf, and that was reflected in the scores. At the conclusion, Neil Brenton was the most successful, scoring 40 points, and so lived down his reputation for being "All over the Course"!

In second place was Arthur Huke, on 38 points, while there was a flurry of 37's for third place. At the final count, Tony Turner snatched the result from Brian Warren and Tony Sumpter, by having a better back nine than either of them.

The Lunch after the event was well attended, and Neil, I am sure, praised the condition of the course, and the way the greens had behaved.
