Louis Meryon leads Warwickshire to win The Midlands League 1st Team Trophy

Louis Meryon receives the Trophy from John Duncombe, President of the Warwickshire Golf Union, having led his team to victory in the Midlands League. The presentation took place at the WUGC Annual Dinner at Copt Heath on Friday 27 November.

Olton Juniors' Prize Presentation Evening

The annual presentation evening for the Juniors was held on Tuesday 17th November. The Heaton lounge was packed with over 100 juniors and parents.The prizes were presented by the Captain Bruce Wilson. The outgoing junior captain Richard Forrester welcomed Mike Pell the incoming junior captain.

Olton Golf Club Wins the Central Warwickshire Junior Trophy

The Juniors of Olton Golf Club concluded a fantastic trio of wins in October when they won the play off between the winners of zone A and Zone B, of the Central Warwickshire Junior League, at Olton on Sunday 18th October.

Mike Pell wins the Warwickshire Junior Order of Merit

The Warwickshire JOOM is open to all clubs in the Warwickshire Union of golf Clubs. It's like the European Tour's race to Dubai, a season long test for junior golfers with points being allocated for successes in club, county and local junior open events and matches. More than 1200 players competed in the JOOM this year.

Olton Golf Club is selected as the Warwickshire Club Of the Year

The Warwickshire golf partnership has nominated Olton Golf Club to represent it for the National GolfMark Club of theYear Award. Each county is asked to nominate 1 club for consideration.

Junior Championship

The first ever club junior championship was held on Saturday 26th October. The championship was over 36holes with 23 juniors with handicaps ranging from 3 to15 , the Winner being the Junior with the best gross score.

The Nicholas Woolley Trophy 13 September

The Nicholas Wooley Trophy for Fathers and Sons was won by George and Scott Kennedy with an excellent 43 points in this greensomes stableford competition. Runners-up were Julian and Tom Watkinson with 42 points. See "Club Gallery" for photographs.

Captain's Day 4 September 2009 at Coxmoor G C

An excellent day was enjoyed by all at this top quality course. Martin Dalton and Gary Miller won the afternoon 18 hole Stableford better ball pairs competition. Congratulations to Bruce for providing such a memorable "Day". See "Club Gallery" for photographs.

Olton Cup & Bowl 31 August 2009

Andy Sullivan was the winner of the Bowl with a gross score of 140 (70,70). Ben Westley won the Cup with a net score of 135 (67,68) off a handicap of 11. See the Club Gallery for photograph.

Olton Juniors Win their division of the Central Warwickshire league

The Olton Junior team were confirmed as winners of their division of the league when Copt Heath beat Shirley on Sunday 23rd August. Over the summer 19 juniors represented the club in 6 matches with teams of 8 in 4 ball better ball format. Olton won 5 of the 6 Matches.

Club Championship - Saturday 25 July

Phil Haine won this year with and excellent gross score of 139 (70,69) equalling the Championship record. The Divisions 2 & 3 winners were Dennis Brown and Mathew Plenty with scores of 153 (75,78) and 159 (78,81) respectively. See "Club Gallery" for photographs.
