B Team v Handsworth

There will be a large amount of sombrero-munching amongst those of you who believed the recent run of success was entirely down to the Captain's absence through injury !

On my return, ably partnered by Bob Gay, I recorded a 4 and 3 win over our opponents. Jim Wild and Richard Lea also won by 2 up. Keith Scott, taking a break from captaining any and every OGC team, won 1up together with partner Ian Sparkes. New boy David Nicholas on his first B Team venture secured a win by 1 alongside Martin Dalton. Graham Hoskin and Lalit Patel lost 3 and 2, while John Brady with Peter Earl lost 2 and 1. However the overall 4-2 victory means we have now won 6 in a row, so well done to all our B Team players this season.

The B Team Gallery on the website now proudly contains a photo of Keith Scott receiving the Geoff Stubbings Trophy after the victory over Old Sils GS.

Sadly this great run may well come to an end if we don't get more players for the upcoming matches :

Thursday 6th July away at Maxstoke we currently only have 9 players on the list, Wednesday  12th July home to Ladbrook is the same with 9 players, Tuesday 18th July away at Edgbaston we have 10 players and Tuesday 25th July away to Moor Hall we have a total of 12 players. So if anyone is available for any of the above and/or future matches please add your names to the sheets on the noticeboard as soon as possible.
